Townhouse Books is a great place to meet and have a leisurely lunch with your girlfriends. I've been a fan for years, but this was my first lunch with a guy along with us. Flavio fit right in. Townhouse can be counted on for consistently good food, with a bit of uniqueness to most of their dishes. Their soups are always delicious, as was the crab bisque on the day we had lunch. My favorite lunch is the Turkey Reuben; I feel like I'm eating a little healthier since it's turkey and not fatty corned beef. I really enjoy their chicken salad too!
In all the years I've been visiting this quaint little gem, I had never eaten outside. I was very impressed with the patio, tucked away, like a little hide-away. It was a perfect setting for enjoying an meal outdoors on a balmy summer day. The flower pots and brick walkway added to the quaint feeling.
One other thing I never saw before was that Townhouse was going green! They were using Greenware plastic cups; showing their concern for the environment. I appreciate that.
I am a big fan of this place and hope all of you will become one too!
PS: Their desserts are homemade and delicious!

Town House was a nice little spot in St. Chuck (Charles), it's like a mom and pop version of borders, you can go have nice meal or beverage and read a book or just go meet up with some friends, a group of people that like to go and check new local restaurants perhaps.
I didn't think much of the inside, regular tables and chairs. We decided to eat outside becuase it was a beutiful day and we wanted to enjoy it. As soon as we walked outside I was impressed, the floor was paved with bricks, the tables were wrought iron nothing special but I just liked the look and feel of it, I also liked that there was a tree, that you can tell has been there for quite some time, growing right in the middle of their patio, watch out for falling fruit by the way.
I again to drink ordered lemonade, I don't think it was anything special, it tasted like country time, not sure if that is what it was or wasn't but I was impressed that the plastic cups they used were Greenware cups, way to be green. Alright, on to what I ate, I ordered the Roasted pork sandwich with chips, actual chips not fries like I thought for some reason, and the crab bisque soup. Now I'm not good with being very descriptive with the food I eat so I will just let you know if I liked it or not and what all it consisted of. The crab bisque was good, I have never had it before and really enjoyed it, it did have a kick to it but I enjoyed it. The roasted pork sandwich came on toasted raisin bread and consisted of pork, obviously, some slices of granny smith apples, red onions and swiss cheese. I had to scrape the onions off because I don't like onions but I do like the flavor they add. I really enjoyed this sandwich, the taste of the mustard grilled pork with the granny smith apples was wonderful and the bread just helped bring it all together. I spent about $15, including tip. I do recomemd going there and checking it out, maybe on a date, it should be a good time. Oh Also beware of the Cougs on the prowl and Thanks to James Crowley for hooking it up with the desserts.

Le Berry Bistro is tucked away in a corner of the Berry House, which I have never been in before. There are cute shops and even a wine place in there! It is kind of hard to find, but just walk up the stairs and keep going down the hall. I enjoyed eating outside and loved the music, although the music did not match the “French” theme. My only complaint would be that I would like to see sturdier and nicer seating outside. I ordered lemon marinated chicken with portabello mushrooms served on spinach. The food was a perfect portion for lunch. It also came with a side of potato salad that was excellent, and I am pretty selective about potato salad. The service was excellent and not rushed. I will definitely come back, and next time I will bring my mom and try the quiche!

The day we visited Nosh was a sunny perfect day for eating outside. Our little group was able to grab one of several outdoor tables with an umbrella. The menu had a decent variety items to choose from, some items with unusual elements thrown into the recipes. My friend, Linda, and I split a mushroom and goat cheese omelet and a turkey club sandwish, since neither of us could decide on just one item. The sizes were perfect for splitting and very satisfying. The quality of food could be seen in each dish that was presented at our table.
The inside of the restaurant looked inviting and was pretty full when we arrived for our early lunch. I'd definitely go back again, probably for a Saturday morning breakfast next time.

Bien Trucha...what can I say about this place besides the food is good and I still cannot pronounce it correctly. Oh, and they are closed on Mondays which I know firsthand because we tried to go on a Monday! The restaurant is small! I would suggest going with only one other person for a good seat. The food is served tapas style, which means you should share! We did share as much as we could with our group of picky eaters. I got the portabella mushroom tacos. They were excellent! Perfectly cooked with spices and an avocado slice served on a corn tortilla. The service was great and the price was reasonable. The only thing I would have liked is refills on the beans and chips!

This is the type of place that you would walk right by and either not notice it was there at all or think it was a total dive. However, once you step inside, you are pleasantly surprised by its quaint charm. There are only 14 seats inside so if you are planning a lunch outing, I suggest you go a little early. I am a very picky eater so I ordered safely and went with the Pollo, chicken in a crispy taco smothered in cheese and sauce. I'm glad I did because it was delicious! I also loved the fact that they served chips before the meal with a spicy bean dip instead of salsa, it was excellent. It would have been nice to get a refill on the chips however, there were 4 of us and we were hungry! Another nice touch was that they served chilled water out of old wine bottles. It looked nice at the table and the waiter kept our glasses full from beginning to end.
I would absolutely go back and would suggest this place to anyone who is looking for good authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. They are located on Rt. 38 in Geneva right past the Urban Grill on your left headed west.Wednesday, September 3, 2008

A very small establishment, seats about 14 inside and 4 outside, Bien Trucha did remind me of what a mom and pop location in Mexico would look like, the decor was very simple and modern. We were immediately greeted and seated. Water was served to us from a wine bottle and anytime my glass was empty or close to being empty a server would refill it. Chips and a bean dip were put on our table. I ordered the Arrachera (skirt steak) tacos, about $8 for 4. The tacos came on a single tortilla with green sauce (not spicy) and an avocado slice. Served on what looked like a wooden Japanese sushi serving tray the tacos were very good and filling. I will no doubt be visiting Bien trucha again.
